Viatores Quartet
The Viatores Quartet is a dynamic and talented string quartet based in Berlin. In 2024, the ensemble earned first prize at the prestigious Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Competition, along with the Freunde Junge Musiker Prize. This year, they secured second place at the Irene Wilsing-Steels Foundation String Quartet Competition, part of the Heidelberger Frühling Festival. In increasing demand on the concert stage, the quartet has already performed at renowned venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic and Konzerthaus Berlin. This year also marks the highly anticipated release of their debut CD album. Additionally, the Viatores Quartet was selected as an SWR (Southwestern Radio) New Talent in 2024, joining a three-year program that includes performances at prominent festivals and recording projects. Taking their name from the Latin word "Viatores," meaning travelers, the quartet reflects the diverse origins and cultures of its members, united by their shared passion for music and their common artistic vision.
