Ensemble 1756 & Solo Violin

Kamile Kubiliute, violin

Ensemble 1756, founded in Salzburg, brings together musicians who received their training primarily at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and who are now active in leading orchestras and ensembles across Europe. Performing in flexible formations, the ensemble cultivates a vibrant chamber-music tradition that unites stylistic awareness, curiosity, and close musical dialogue.
This concert is dedicated to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose work continues to represent clarity, elegance, and emotional depth. The program highlights key aspects of his output: from the youthful freshness of the early Salzburg divertimenti to the more expressive sound world of his mature works for strings and solo instrument. His music constantly balances lightness and depth, simplicity and supreme refinement.
A central highlight is the violin concerto, where the solo violin becomes a singing, almost operatic voice in dialogue with the strings. Virtuosity always serves expression, shaped by elegance, clarity, and balance.
The Serenade in G major K. 525 “A Little Night Music” shows Mozart at his most radiant. Its clear structure, dance-like character, and memorable melodies combine lightness with perfect craftsmanship.
In contrast, Pablo de Sarasate’s Zigeunerweisen brings a passionate and virtuosic sound world. Inspired by Hungarian-Romani traditions, it unites fiery rhythms, lyrical intensity, and dazzling violin technique into a powerful musical statement.
Kamile Kubiliute appears as violin soloist, bringing technical mastery and expressive depth to the program. The violin unfolds as lyrical voice, virtuosic storyteller, and emotional sound carrier in a journey full of contrast and color.
