accio piano trio

The accio piano trio was founded in 2013 by Christina Scheicher, Clemens Böck and Anne Keckeis at Mozarteum University in Salzburg. Since autumn 2015, Leo Morello is the new Cellist.
The ensemble is studying at Sándor Végh Institute of Mozarteum University, taking classes with pianist Tünde Kurucz, violinists Wolfgang Redik (Vienna Piano Trio), Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet) and Klara Flieder (Leschetitzky Trio), and with the cellist Giovanni Gnocchi (David Piano Trio). The ensemble also participated in masterclasses with the Trio di Parma (Enrico Bronzi, Ivan Rabaglia, Alberto Miodini) in Portogruaro (Italy).
In 2014 the trio had the opportunity to perform in the 4th Salzburg Chamber Music Festival. In September 2014, a concert tour led the ensemble to Wuhan and Shenzhen (China). From the same year, the trio has been supported by the foundation Yehudi Menuin – Live Music Now, through which they are regularly given the opportunity to offer concerts to social institutions in Austria and Germany. The ensemble won a 2nd prize at the ENKOR Chamber Music Competition '14 with their recording of Shostakovich's 1st piano trio. Furthermore, the accio piano trio is a winner of Musica Juventutis and made its debut at Wiener Konzerthaus in October 2015. The ensemble dedicated itself to the discovery and in-depth study of less-known early works by great composers throughout music history. In 2016 the trio could commission a new work to the Austrian composer Jakob Gruchmann. His new trio Schneekammer was premiered at Goldegg Castle (Austria). This project culminated in the recording of the trio’s first CD, that will be released in 2017. Their Early Works concert program was aired by the Austrian national radio. They played further concerts at Steinway House Linz, in Vienna (Konzerthaus, Palais Lützow, Peterskirche), Salzburg (Great Hall of the Mozarteum, Mirabell Palace, Arenberg Castle), Bad Ischl (Trinkhallle), Carinthia (Albeck Castle), Bavaria (Altötting, Töging am Inn).
Highlights of the upcoming season 16/17 include concert tours to Italy, Switzerland, Germany and China.
